How to access the service
Visit: gov.uk/apply-carers-allowance
What happens after you submit your claim?
Your online claim will be received by the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) as soon as you submit it. The Carer’s Allowance Unit will start processing your claim and will write to the person you care for, to let them know you've made a claim. If you've given DWP an email address, you'll receive an email confirming they've received your claim.
What help is available?
You'll find help guides to answer your questions, the option to check your eligibility up front, so you know Carer's Allowance is right for you, and a helpline number where a skilled agent will provide you with additional support to guide you through your claim.
Report a Change of Circumstances
You can also report a change of circumstances online; for example if you:
Start or leave a job
