Meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 1.30pm - 3pm. Come along to meet other carers and get advice and support whilst enjoying ‘time out’ from your caring role. The usual leader is Lisa. Guest speakers are frequently arranged. Optional donation of £1, plus a raffle.

All of Age UK’s resource centres offer a range of activities, services, support and facilities which respond to the needs of local older people. They are open to the public and free for you to visit. Earl Shilton offers a day centre, lunch clubs, activity groups and is where VASL Support for Carers hold our monthly Carers Support Group on the second Thursday.

Dial-A-Ride Hinckley

Dial a Ride is a door to door social car scheme for those living in the Hinckley & Bosworth area. If you don’t have a car of your own or have difficulty using public transport, the scheme can help take you to health/hospital appointments, social events/lunch clubs, visiting relatives/friends, shopping, hairdressers, leisure centre or somewhere you’d like to visit. Just ask and we will do our best to help.

Online support group for working age carers

This online group is aimed at carers of adults 18+ in Leicestershire, who are of working age themselves. You do not have to be in work to attend, just of working age. Occurs on the second Wednesday of each month from 7-8pm.
