Carers in Vogue

We held another successful VASL Support for Carers event on 21st November - with Carers in Vogue at Elizabeth Park Community Centre being attended by 83 people!
Guest speakers included Age UK talking about residential care costs and benefits, Warm Homes talking about energy efficiency and savings and Support for Carers talking about carers assessments.
There were also lots of stalls providing a whole range of useful information for carers, entertainment from our wonderful Carers Choir and a fashion show throughout their performance. Best of all, we raised a whopping £197 to help keep our Carers Choir running, by selling the clothes kindly donated to our fashion show.
Last but not least there was lunch and refreshments provided, as well as therapies on offer for carers to enjoy throughout the event.
63 people completed our feedback form and they all agreed the event was informative! Many thanks to all those who attended.
