Do you care for someone on the autistic spectrum? Find out about changes in adult social care

Date: Thursday, June 4th 2015
Categories: All Leicestershire Hinckley & Bosworth Activities & Events

The National Autistic Society is running FREE information days to talk to carers and families of people on the autistic spectrum - about changes in adult social care. Government reform of adult social care is focused on the 'personalisation' of support and personal budgets, with the aim of empowering people to choose and control the services they receive. This will affect all those who get support, whether they pay for it themselves, or it's provided by statutory services.

The information days will cover community care (from the basics of what it is, to how it can be accessed), The Care Act, Person-Centred Planning, Support Planning, Personal Budgets, Personal Health Budgets, Direct Payments and how personalisation can work for you and the person you care for.

The next local information day is on 12th June from 12 noon to 3pm at the Burbage Constitutional Club, 64 Church Street, Burbage, LE10 2DE.
