The Alzheimer's Society are running a series of workshops in Wigston to give carers information and support.
The Carer Information and Support Programme is a series of workshops run over four sessions, for people caring for a family member or friend with dementia. It provides an opportunity for you to talk in a friendly and confidental environment about your experiences and the impact they're having on you.
Workshop topics include:
- What is dementia?
- How can you support and care for someone with dementia?
- The support services that are available
- Planning for the future
Course dates - Wigston
- Session 1: Friday 8th September, 10am-12.30pm
- Session 2: Friday 15th September, 10am-12.30pm
- Session 3: Friday 22nd September, 10am-12.30pm
- Session 4: Friday 29th September, 10am-12.30pm
Venue: Wigston Central Surgery (Meeting Room 2), Two Steeples Medical Centre, 10 Abington Close, Wigston, LE18 2EW.
Who will be there?
The workshops are run by Alzheimer’s Society staff and volunteers for people who care for a family member or friend with dementia. If you're unable to attend the above dates/times, please register your interest as future groups may be available.
