Free holidays for carers

Date: Thursday, March 27th 2014
Categories: All Leicestershire

The Respite Association offers free respite breaks for carers on very limited incomes, as well as funding for respite care for disabled, sick, elderly or terminally ill people, so their carer can take a much needed break.

The Association has two caravans, one in Skegness and the other in Staining, just outside Blackpool, where carers can enjoy a free respite break. Both have very good facilities and are close to the town centre. Heating, lighting and access to things like entertainment facilities at the caravan parks are included in the price, but you'll need to provide your own food and drink and make your own way to your chosen destination.

The idea of the free holidays is to give you a complete break, so you can't take the person you care for. However, if this means you'll need to pay for respite care, the Association may be able to help with that too.

To find out more visit www.respiteassociation.org, email [email protected] or call 01775 820176.
