Help & support if you’ve suffered a bereavement

As you may know, the Department of Work and Pensions streamlined its Bereavement Service last year, to make it easier for people to use.
If you've recently suffered a bereavement you can call the service on 0845 6060 265.
A trained advisor will take down the details of the person who has passed away and will notify all the relevant Department of Work and Pensions departments for you, so you don't have to make multiple phone calls.
They can also advise you on any financial support you may be entitled to, such as help towards the cost of the funeral and Bereavement Benefits.
You can also request a home visit if necessary, please ring the number above and talk to an advisor.
