Categories: All Leicestershire Activities & Events Groups & Forums
The Leicestershire Carers Charter has been developed as a result of one of the actions promised in the Joint Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Carers Strategy 2012 -2015.
The charter has seven promises; written by carers, for carers. Each of the leading health & social care organisations who signed the Charter promised that they will:
• Recognise and Value Carers
• Recognise Young Carers
• Inform and Advise Carers
• Help and Support Carers
• Involve Carers in Developing Services
• Support Carers in Employment
• Involve Carers in Care Planning and Discharge
The Charter has been developed by the Leicestershire LINk Carers Task Group, which was made up of carers together with voluntary and statutory organisations.
Work has now begun to develop how staff within Leicestershire County Council will be working to implement the promises made in the Charter.
