Update from our Carers’ Forum held on 27th Sept in Huncote

We held our first ever Carers' Forum in Huncote on 27th September and it was very well attended, with over 20 people coming along. Including carers and representatives from various organisations.
Many people had travelled from other parts of the county to attend so thank you to everyone for making the journey!
The morning included a presentation from the Support for Carers team - explaining how the new service could support carers and an introduction to our new interactive website and online directory of local services.
The event was also a great opportunity for representatives from other organisations to promote the valuable work they are currently doing.
Best of all the event gave carers the opportunity to ask questions and speak to organisations individually, including the Support for Carers team.
We're happy to say the event was well received by all those who attended.
We'll be planning similar events for carers in the near future so watch this space for more!
