The Carers Centre is looking for Trustees to help shape the services it provides to carers, especially those with experience in business or commercial sectors.
What's involved?
Trustees are responsible for planning the direction The Carers Centre takes, and setting the policies that the organisation works to. In addition, they oversee the delivery and quality of services to carers, provided by The Carers Centre, to make sure they're in line with all contract requirements and meet the needs of carers from diverse local communities. Trustees are sometimes required to represent The Carers Centre at meetings and events, so they're particularly keen to hear from confident public speakers. Experience of forging effective partnerships would be helpful too, as the charity is looking to work with other agencies to deliver services.
The Carers Centre is looking for Trustees who will be ambitious for The Carers Centre, and committed to supporting carers. They're hoping to inject a greater degree of commercial thinking into the organisation, to help them diversify the way the charity is funded. This will help The Carers Centre to widen and improve its services.
Trustees are there to ask questions, challenge, support and be a critical friend to The Carers Centre, and the charity couldn't operate without them.
Trustees are paid out of pocket expenses and you'll be offered full training and an induction to the Carers Centre. A DBS check will be required.
Interested? Please send a CV, marked for the attention of The Company Secretary, to the The Carers Centre (Leicestershire & Rutland), Unit 19, Matrix House, Constitution Hill, Leicester, LE1 1PL or email [email protected] by 14th September 2017.
