Free event for carers - ‘Safe & sound at home’

The Home Safety Action Group is running a free event for professionals and volunteers who visit vulnerable people in their own homes on 30 April at the Salvation Army, Ladysmith Road, off Saffron Road, South Wigston, Leicester, LE18 4UZ.  

The event, which is called 'Safe and sound at home', will include seminars, exhibitions, videos and demonstrations on some of the dangers that can affect vulnerable people at home such as distraction burglary, fire, bogus callers, adult abuse and falls. The event also includes an opportunity to attend a Dementia Friends training session and help England meet its target of one million dementia friends by 2015.
