‘Hats On’ for a weekend walk with a difference

Date: Thursday, June 21st 2012
Categories: All Leicestershire Harborough Activities & Events

Active Together Harborough is inviting carers and cared for to join them on a weekend walk on Saturday 23rd June, to show support for Harborough District Council's 'Embracing Difference' campaign.

The campaign aims to celebrate our differences: 'we are all different and may come from a different race, religion or background or we may be able bodied or have a disability, but we should embrace these differences to get the best outcome for all.'

You can find out more about the campaign on the Embracing Difference website.

If you'd like to join the walk, you can meet Active Together Harborough in the Square, Market Harborough at 10am on Saturday, for a choice of walks, either a leisurely stroll lasting around an hour, or a more challenging 3 mile walk. There will also be a wide variety of events held in the Square, with plenty to do for both adults and children.

The theme of the walks is 'hats' on' - so come along on the day wearing a hat of your choice - top hats, cowboy hats, bobble hats, baseball caps...any type of hat is welcome. What will your hat say about you?

To find out more please call the Active Together team on 01858 828282 or email [email protected]
