Categories: Leicester

The Leicester Mercury is reporting that a new £5 million health centre has opened in Belgrave, Leicester following an eight-year campaign by patients for better surgeries.

Two GP practices have moved in to the new Belgrave Health Centre and there are also plans to provide a range of clinics for children and adults to save patients travelling to hospitals.

The centre also has an on-site pharmacy and will be a base for community nursing teams.

It's thought the centre will cater for around 30,000 people.
