This group is just for carers, giving them the chance to be honest about their caring roles without feeling inhibited. Why not come along and meet others in similar situations to you in a supportive, friendly environment. Guest speakers are frequently arranged and there is a raffle.

Syston & District Volunteer Centre (community transport)

About

Our “social car” service offers vulnerable or elderly residents in Syston and surrounding villages personal, door-to-door transport for journeys to doctors, hospital appointments, shopping trips, visits to family, hairdressers etc.  This service is for people who would otherwise not be able to get out of their houses to meet appointments or to socialise.  Our volunteer drivers use their own cars for an agreed mileage chare and the centre charges a small administration fee per journey.
